Welcome to Advertising Week Moment
The first-ever event on the first day of Advertising Week in 2004 . . . A parade of the great advertising icons — Ronald McDonald in his Red Show Car, Mr. Clean, Mr. Peanut, Tony the Tiger, and two dozen more in Times Square.

That time I played Mr. Peanut in the first ever Advertising Week press conference in 2003. Always remember to charge the batteries.

Being dragged on stage at the Playstation Theater at the inaugural D&AD Impact Awards – still not entirely sure what came out of my mouth.

Welcome to Advertising Week Moment
We haven’t had any events since I’ve joined the team, but I still remember seeing Outkast at Advertising Week 2014 which was a great show and my first experience in seeing what the Week was all about. Also, the hip-hop hot dog telegram the office got for James’ birthday.

Welcome to Advertising Week Moment
I presented a Advertising Week session interviewing two chief marketing officers in this amazing session featuring an explosion of colours, noises and stars. Except it turned out that I actually had raging shingles, an exceptionally high fever and hallucinated through the whole thing. I wish the audience had seen my version. It really elevated things.

SVP Operations

Welcome to Advertising Week Moment
Every moment the team comes up with a new idea — because no matter how far-fetched it seems, down deep we all know it will most likely become a reality when “The Week” begins.

Welcome to Advertising Week Moment
At AW 2009 I was recording audio for podcasts of popular sessions. I arrived at the Paley Center a bit late and had to sneak in as the panel was packed and there was a gentleman at the door turning people away. Using ninja-like stealth I managed to get around him when he got distracted, but my recording device malfunctioned and I taped about an hour of my own breathing instead of the panel. Later I found out the door monitor I so stealthily avoided was actually Matt – I hadn’t met him yet at that point.

Director, Advertising Week New York

Welcome to Advertising Week Moment
At my very first Advertising Week in 2013, which was also the first ever Advertising Week Europe, I was working the door at the Advertising Week Europe Wrap Party featuring Nas. Aside from standing outside in the cold and the rain for a solid three hours (at least), with no coat or umbrella, the venue was also at capacity within the first twenty minutes. This led to about 1500+ angry people screaming my name and demanding entry. At that moment I knew it could only go uphill from there – and it has!

Clive Prosser

Director, Advertising Week APAC

Welcome to Advertising Week Moment
When we did the announcement of Sydney at Advertising Week Europe. Nothing was planned or rehearsed and just before the cameras started and mic when on, Matt said he was going to reveal some very personal and embarrassing information about me. What a start...

Welcome to Advertising Week Moment
My favorite Advertising Week moment thus far has been our exclusive interview of Actor | Director | Producer extraordinaire Stanley Tucci in London. He is one of my all time favorites and it definitely was a special moment to check off my “Bucket List”. The great thing about Advertising Week is something will replace this moment at on of the next global events. It is just that good!

Director, Technology & Product Development

Welcome to Advertising Week Moment
Feeling awestruck backstage at the legendary Radio City Music Hall preparing for 2017 Opening Gala. An experience that could not be diminished by Keith’s tales of going to Phish concerts there and the ensuing shenanigans that went with it.

Commercial Director, Advertising Week Europe

Welcome to Advertising Week Moment
Turning around Borough Market from a busy working market, into an INCREDIBLE dinner venue for 150 people in two hours. I’m still not entirely sure how we pulled it off…

Unknowingly drinking from Lance's favorite Badgers mug and being told to rinse it out mid-coffee on my second or third day.

Welcome to Advertising Week Moment
Watching Wyclef Jean jam on stage with a group of creative execs that he had never met before. You never know what you might see at Advertising Week, and this session completely illustrated just how exciting and unpredictable the work that we are engaged in can truly be.

Being transported via pedicab from our Opening Gala to the TLC Opening Concert. Only feared for my life 3 times during the ride.

Welcome to Advertising Week Moment
Spending Advertising Week New York recording podcasts (of a very high calibre with brilliant guests) in a glass-walled truck outside the AMC Theatre in 90 degree heat. Imagine sitting in a green-house with a heater on wearing a sweater. Then double it for a reasonable measure of discomfort. Number of times I came close to passing out: 3. Beads of sweat formed: infinite.

Welcome to Advertising Week Moment
Carrying around a birthday cake for the afternoon which included a trip on the L to Brooklyn and back during peak hours. Safe to say I wasn’t the most popular person in that car while asking people to please mind the cake box and step back. We finally got to eat it at around 10 pm at the concert!
